About
Millpond House is a charming guesthouse situated in the quiet and peaceful Swartland suburb of Clarens. There are three tastefully decorated en-suite rooms and one family suite consisting of 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom. The guesthouse was built in 2005 and since then has been run by the same owners.
The village which is packed with art galleries, restaurants, shops and a brewery is a mere 800 m from the guest house. Take a ten minute stroll through the beautiful tree lined streets, surrounded by mountains and you will come upon this little gem of a town.
Millpond House is situated close to the Clarens Village Conservancy where there are many spectacular hiking trails.
Enjoy the expansive garden with beautiful trees, bird life in abundance and rose-clad gazebo; an English country garden in the "Vrystaat".
All rooms have either balconies or French doors opening out onto the garden. DSTV (commercial package), free Wi Fi, under-floor heating, electric blankets and small kitchenettes in all rooms.

N3 from Johannesburg to Warden. At Warden take off ramp towards Bethlehem (R714). At Bethlehem T junction turn left travel straight through town (no turnoffs) and continue for about 5km on N5. Upon reaching the Saulspoort dam, turn right to Clarens on the R711 -R712

N1 to Winburg. Take off ramp at Winburg onto the N5 to Bethlehem. Continue on N5 through Bethlehem to top end of town (East) and turn right at Metropolitan Shopping centre. N3 to Harrismith. Stay left at Harrismith and avoid the ringroad. Follow N5 Bethlehem signs and take the N5 to Bethlehem.
